The official trailer for the Peaky Blinders movie, titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, was released by Netflix on February 19, 2026. The official trailer reveals that Tommy Shelby has officially re-entered the conflict of WWII. After years of self-imposed exile, he is forced to abandon his quiet life to protect Birmingham from the rising tide of Fascism.

“It is now”, Tommy confirms the battle as shown in the trailer. When confronted with the idea that this global struggle is not his responsibility, Tommy delivers a cold and definitive response.

This declaration confirms that the Shelby patriarch is no longer content to stay on the sidelines as the threat intensifies. The film is scheduled to arrive in select theatres on 6 March 2026 before its global debut on Netflix on 20 March 2026. Tommy’s return to the battle is partly to reclaim the Peaky Blinders' identity, as the trailer shows him walking back into the Garrison Pub to demand the respect his name once commanded.

Thomas Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, is emerging from his self-imposed isolation to confront a new kind of darkness that threatens the very soul of Birmingham. Tim Roth joins the ensemble as a British Fascist sympathizer who attempts to lure Tommy’s son, Duke, into supporting the German war effort.

To protect his family legacy, Tommy must re-emerge from the shadows and reclaim his authority against those who seek to exploit his bloodline. The return of the Peaky Blinders is bolstered by the arrival of newcomers Rebecca Ferguson and Jay Lycurgo alongside returning allies like Stephen Graham.

Directed by Tom Harper, the film serves as a massive narrative bridge to an upcoming sequel series set during the reconstruction of 1953. While Thomas Shelby fights for survival in the movie, the legacy of the gang is already destined to continue in a post-war landscape.

Compelling alternatives for Shelby enthusiasts

The historical crime drama A Thousand Blows offers a visceral look at the illegal boxing scene and gang rivalries of Victorian London. Starring Stephen Graham, it captures the same atmosphere of ambition and street-level violence found in the early days of the Shelby empire.

For a perspective across the Atlantic, Boardwalk Empire depicts the rise of organized crime during the American Prohibition era. The show echoes many themes of the Birmingham gang, specifically the complex relationship between political influence and illegal operations.
