The rom-com king Patrick Dempsey is known for his charming roles in Made of Honor and Sweet Home Alabama. However, this year, the actor went all out for an impressive transformation into a former dangerous hitman for Fox's new thriller show. Living a double life, his character goes through a rollercoaster of emotions while battling his enemies.

Safe to say, his transformation has been loved and admired by fans, with the premiere earning 16.2 million total viewers across several platforms. The series brilliantly brings together action, suspense, heartbreak, and more into one season. And after the success of its first season, Fox seems ready to bet on another run for Dempsey’s show.

Memory of a Killer, starring Patrick Dempsey and Michael Imperioli, first aired on Fox on January 25 this year. Even before the show wraps up, it has already been renewed for a second season, as per Deadline. Clearly, there is still much more to Dempsey's character, Angelo Flannery’s story.

Meanwhile, another show, Best Medicine, has also been renewed by Fox for another season. Now, coming back to the renewal of Fox and Warner Bros. Television’s Memory of a Killer, the decision does not come as a surprise. It is Fox’s most-streamed drama debut in six years and has also secured a spot in the Top 10 on Hulu.

And Aaron Zelman and Glenn Kessler, who previously replaced Ed Whitmore, Tracey Malone, and David Schulner as the showrunners, are also expected to return for Season 2. The season 1 cast included Michael Imperioli, Richard Harmon, and Odeya Rush. While several familiar characters could return for a role, the cast details are not revealed yet.

For those unaware, Memory of a Killer follows a former hitman, Angelo Flannery (Patrick Dempsey), who now lives a quiet life as a copier salesman in Cooperstown. However, things take a turn when his past catches up with him, as old enemies come looking for revenge, threatening to expose his identity or, worse, harm his family. At the same time, Angelo must act quickly before his memory begins to fade completely due to Alzheimer’s disease.

Even the final episode focuses on Angelo confronting those seeking revenge, as he struggles to protect his family. Now, with Season 2 already confirmed, the story is far from over. For now, all eyes are on how the first chapter comes to an end for Angelo in Memory of a Killer.
