Paris Hilton has spent decades turning heads with her fashion choices, but even an iconic It-girl cannot escape the internet’s costume police. This year, the heiress dressed as Princess Belle, while daughter London chose Chip, whose costume was also mistaken for Mrs. Potts instead of the enchanted teacup. When the internet questioned the pairing, Hilton fired back that her daughter preferred Chip, proving that even a princess knows better than to argue with a child’s costume choice.
The heiress had her answer ready, serving princess-level patience to critics who apparently expected a little girl to dress by committee.

Paris Hilton’s family Halloween costumes became an unexpected internet debate, and the socialite was not about to let strangers dictate her children’s dress-up choices. While Carter Reum transformed into the Beast, three-year-old Phoenix played Lumière, and daughter London appeared as Chip, some critics questioned why the little girl had not chosen Belle. Hilton had a perfectly simple explanation.
"Beauty and the Beast is one of their favorite movies, and London said she wanted to dress up as Chip. She said it was her favorite character in the movie," the heiress said, followed by a heart faced emoji. Apparently, even a princess cannot overrule a child’s Halloween wish list.

The situation became even more amusing when social media users began mistaking London’s Chip costume for Mrs. Potts, the teacup’s mother voiced by Angela Lansbury in the 1991 Disney classic. Hilton clarified the mix-up under the Instagram reel while standing by her daughter’s decision. With the Beast beside Belle and Lumière lighting the way, the family’s costume choices hardly required a royal inquiry.
But this is hardly the first time Paris Hilton has turned Halloween into a fashion statement, with her costumes often stealing the spotlight from the source of her billions.
Paris Hilton goes from one iconic Disney princess to the princess of pop
Paris Hilton clearly believes Halloween is too short for just one iconic look. Before the heiress became Princess Belle alongside her family, she channeled Britney Spears’ unforgettable 2001 MTV Video Music Awards performance of ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’. She completed the look with a green wrap top, sparkling micro shorts, and rhinestone embellishments. The finishing touch was Tango, a live albino Burmese python draped across her shoulders, because subtlety has never been the point.

And this was no isolated case of Halloween nostalgia. Hilton has spent the past four years revisiting Spears’ greatest fashion hits, from the ‘Toxic’ flight attendant uniform in 2023 to the schoolgirl outfit from ‘...Baby One More Time’ in 2024 and the red latex jumpsuit from ‘Oops!... I Did It Again’ in 2025. The heiress has turned these tributes into an annual tradition, making her latest family costume controversy just one more reason her Halloween wardrobe refuses to stay out of the headlines.
