Hamnet, that poignant tale of William Shakespeare and his spouse emerging as a top Oscar player this year, hits Peacock on March 6, perfect timing to catch it ahead of the big awards night. The historical life story dropped in 2025, guided by Chloé Zhao, who crafted the script with author Maggie O’Farrell based on her celebrated 2020 novel.

It delves into the private world of Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway as they face the heartbreaking death of their little boy, Hamnet. Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal headline as Anne and William, backed by Emily Watson, Joe Alwyn, and Noah Jupe.
