Baywatch is returning for a long-awaited reboot, and it is also set to bring back some members from the original series. Nearly three decades after the iconic show ended, Fox announced a 12-episode reboot series. With Matt Nix as the showrunner, the series will focus on the same chaos around lifeguards on their race to save lives and on new adventures.

And as the production is currently underway in Venice Beach, a few familiar faces from the original series were also spotted on set.

As reported by PEOPLE, Michael Bergin, Kelly Packard, and David Chokachi were spotted filming the Baywatch reboot series. They were posing with surfboards, taking selfies, and even doing push-ups on the sand. So, clearly, the trio is set to reprise their original roles in the upcoming series.

Michael Bergin, who wore a red floral-print swimsuit, would return to reprise his role as Jack “J.D.” Darius. Meanwhile, Kelly Packard, who played April Giminski in seasons 8 and 9, wore a green two-piece for the filming day. Chokachi had long been in the conversation to reprise his role of lifeguard Cody Madison in the new show. 

He was seen in sky-blue swim trunks. Just as the rumors hinted, he returns in the new series as Cody, who now runs The Shoreline bar-and-grill while occasionally stepping back into his former lifeguard duties. He is also shown to be a mentor and friend to the new generation featured in the show.

The new cast, featuring notable names, has also begun to gain traction.

Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon: Stephen Amell will play the lead role of Hobie Buchannon, the son of Mitch Buchannon. The character of Mitch was previously portrayed by David Hasselhoff. In the new series, Hobie is now a Baywatch captain. 

Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale: The Hunting Wives actress will play the role of Hobie’s daughter.

Hassie Harrison as Nat: The Yellowstone actress will play Nat, who is Hobie’s close friend.

Noah Beck as Luke: Luke is a rookie lifeguard who sees Hobie as his mentor.

Shay Mitchell as Trina: Mitchell, known for Pretty Little Liars, will play the role of a lawyer, Trina. Her character left a top-tier firm to start life as a lifeguard.

Olivia Dunne as Grace: Olivia Dunne is set to make her professional acting debut in Baywatch. She will appear as a recurring character, playing Grace, an enthusiastic junior lifeguard.  

Thaddeus LaGrone, Luke Eisner, Nadia Gray, Charlie McElveen, Brooks Nader, Kylar Miranda, and more are set to join the show. Original Baywatch member Erika Eleniak is also expected to return. So, the Baywatch reboot brings back familiar faces while introducing a new generation of lifeguards, while keeping the spirit of the original alive.
