How to watch One Battle After Another at home
Director Paul Thomas Anderson’s movie One Battle After Another is about Bob Ferguson, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who is pulled into his old lifestyle and chaos again when his daughter goes missing, and a former enemy appears in his life. The movie is available to stream on HBO Max. It can also be rented and bought on Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home.
The movie is about espionage and politics, as well as a deeply emotional story about a father and daughter, which quickly connected with people. Teyana Taylor, who won her first Golden Globe Award for her performance, played the role of Perfidia Beverly Hills in the movie, while Chase Infiniti played Bob’s daughter, Willa. Now, this is also the first time that DiCaprio and Anderson came together for a project that is making waves.
However, this could have been their second collaboration, which might be something that DiCaprio regrets.
Leonardo DiCaprio regrets refusing Paul Thomas Anderson’s first offer
The first chance for Leonardo DiCaprio to team up with Paul Thomas Anderson came in 1997 when he was offered the role in Boogie Nights. Although he wanted to play Dirk Diggler, he had to turn it down due to scheduling conflicts, as he also starred in Titanic at the time. It is a decision he has said he regrets to this day.
“I’ll say it even though you’re here: My biggest regret is not doing Boogie Nights. It was a profound movie of my generation. I can’t imagine anyone but Mark [Wahlberg] in it,” DiCaprio said in an interview with Paul Thomas Anderson in Esquire.

The role eventually went to Mark Wahlberg. In hindsight, Titanic became one of the highest-grossing films of all time, along with 11 Oscar wins, and that certainly makes the choice understandable. However, DiCaprio has often spoken about missing the opportunity to work with Anderson. Now, nearly three decades later, he has finally set it right with One Battle After Another, which is one of this year’s strongest Oscar contenders, now streamable too.
