As the news of Hulu pulling the plug on the show's future is out, an end is being put to this office chaos.

Hulu has decided not to move forward with a second season of the comedy Not Suitable for Work, ending the series after one nine-episode run, as Variety has reported exclusively. The show, created by Mindy Kaling and executive produced with Charlie Grandy and Howard Klein, launched in June 2026. Warner Bros. Television, which produces the series, plans to shop it to potential new homes.

The cancellation came despite a cast that included Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay, and Jay Ellis. Recurring guest stars included Victor Garber, Greg Germann, Judy Gold, Ego Nwodim and Constance Wu. The series centered on work-obsessed 20-somethings striving for professional success and personal happiness in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood.

This news came via a Variety exclusive, which confirmed that Hulu will not renew the show. The series represented Kaling’s first sole creator credit since The Mindy Project, which ran for six seasons across Fox and Hulu. Despite mixed reviews, the show aimed to deliver a biting take on young professionals juggling jobs and love in New York City.

While one Hulu comedy has reached its end, the streamer has another series turning attention toward mysteries that remain painfully unresolved.

Somebody Knows Something is a new true crime series streaming on Hulu that examines missing persons and unsolved cases. Hosted by Kara Robinson Chamberlain, a former law enforcement officer, trained victim advocate and survivor of an abduction, the series follows investigations that have remained unresolved for years.

The opening episodes focus on two missing children cases. The first investigates the 1997 disappearance of five-month-old Sabrina Aisenberg from her crib in Valrico, Florida. The second examines the disappearance of 16-year-old Lashaya Stine from Aurora, Colorado, in 2016. Both cases remain unsolved.

Chamberlain brings personal experience to the investigations while working alongside families, law enforcement and the true crime community. The series centers on the possibility that someone possesses a forgotten detail or crucial piece of information capable of moving a case forward.
