Noah Schnapp is officially a college graduate. The 21-year-old actor marked a major milestone on May 18 after earning his bachelor’s degree from University of Pennsylvania, sharing moments from his graduation ceremony on Instagram with family, friends, and fans celebrating alongside him. The actor posted photos in his cap and gown with his twin sister Chloe and parents Karine and Mitchell Schnapp, along with a clip of himself walking across the stage to receive his diploma.
But beyond the celebratory moment, Schnapp’s graduation also signals the close of a defining chapter in his life, one that began when he first stepped into Hawkins as Will Byers on Stranger Things.

While many young stars choose to focus entirely on Hollywood, Noah Schnapp remained committed to higher education even as filming schedules for Stranger Things intensified. He previously revealed that he attended in-person classes at UPenn before switching to virtual learning whenever production required him on set. That commitment to academics was deeply rooted in his upbringing.
“Growing up, education was always so important. Even on set, I went through so many different teachers,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in December 2025. “My parents were like, ‘He’s not being educated well enough. He needs a math [teacher] and a different English teacher.’”
As Stranger Things ended its final chapter, Noah Schnapp admitted that graduating at the same time feels surreal. The actor described it as the end of several childhood eras all at once, with both his college journey and the globally beloved Netflix series reaching their conclusion simultaneously. For Schnapp, the moment represents a major turning point as he steps away from the role that defined his teenage years and into an entirely new phase of adulthood.
That transition, however, may only be the beginning of a much larger evolution for the actor beyond Hawkins.
Noah Schnapp’s ambitions stretch far beyond acting
Outside of entertainment, Noah Schnapp has already started building an impressive entrepreneurial portfolio. He launched TBH (To Be Honest), a sustainable snack brand that quickly gained popularity and expanded into more than 2,500 stores across the United States. In 2023, he also introduced TenderFix, a chicken tender delivery concept offering plant-based alternatives, while co-founding the footwear label Drifts.
At the same time, Schnapp has continued exploring creative opportunities behind the camera. The actor has expressed growing interest in screenwriting, directing, and character-driven storytelling, particularly projects centered around inclusivity and meaningful representation. His time in college reportedly helped broaden his perspective on filmmaking and opened doors to creative paths beyond acting alone.
