When Chandler Bing said, “This was your first home, and it was a happy place
filled with love and laughter,” every Friends fan felt it to their core. Because
the show indeed was their happy place. The ’90s sitcom gave the viewers the
feeling of having their own small little family. Therefore, when the show ended,
along with the actors on the sets, the viewers also became overwhelmed by all
the emotions. However, even after 19 years of the finale, fans can not get over
the fact that this one character did not get his happily ever after.

Toward the end of the show, Ross and Rachel got together while Chandler and
Monica also got their dream of becoming parents true. Moreover, Phoebe found her
family in Mike. But Joey? He stayed single. While everyone was moving on with
their partners and family, Joey moved on alone. And after nearly two decades of
the last season, when a Twitter user asked who was the most tragic sitcom
character, fans brought back the fan-favorite character, Joey Tribbiani.

Throughout the 10 seasons, Joey went through a lot. He struggled to get his
breakthrough role as an actor while also getting his heart broken many times. He
even fell in love with his best friend’s ex, Rachel. Although Joey knew he was
deeply in love with Rachel, he sacrificed his feelings to make Ross feel
comfortable.
