The sisters are brewing magical potions once again! Beloved stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock have reunited for the long-awaited sequel to Practical Magic. But before the magic returns to the big screen, the two actresses have been busy promoting the upcoming film and teasing fans with glimpses of what to expect from their long-awaited reunion.

The two have also leaned on some much-appreciated nostalgia of the first film. That included a nod to National Sisters Day, with Kidman sharing a wholesome video of the pair concocting and casting a spell together. 

Nicole Kidman recently shared a video from one of the promotional events for Practical Magic 2. The clip opens with Kidman playfully waving a burning bundle of sage toward the camera before showing the two standing over a cauldron. The two actresses jokingly pretended to cast a magical spell. Kidman captioned the post simply, "sisters," and tagged the official Practical Magic 2 Instagram page.

Before sharing the video, Kidman also paid tribute to her real-life sister, Antonia Kidman, by posting a photo of her on her Instagram Stories in honor of National Sisters Day. Now, Kidman and Bullock were on-screen sisters in Practical Magic, where they portrayed sisters Gillian and Sally Owens. Sally and Gillian are descendants of a long line of witches whose family has been haunted by a centuries-old curse.

Raised by their aunts, the sisters had teamed up to break the deadly family curse that claims the lives of the men they fall in love with. The movie became a cult classic, and now, the beloved duo is returning to reprise their roles in the sequel. And for that, the two sisters and their aunts must return to the New England town.

While the nostalgic reunion has seemingly won over longtime fans, the sequel promises an all-new chapter for the Owens family.

Nearly three decades after the original film, Practical Magic 2 reunites sisters Sally and Gillian Owens as well as their aunts. The sequel follows Sally's eldest daughter, Kylie, who also develops powers. As she takes it upon herself to break the Owens family's deadly curse, the rest, including Sally and Gillian, come together.

Along the way, they must reconnect with their magical abilities while discovering new secrets tied to their family's legacy. The previous cast will be joined by Lee Pace, Joey King, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod. The film is expected for release on September 11, 2026.
