Playful interview games can sometimes lead to unexpected answers, but they can also take an even funnier turn when someone is caught off guard by the question itself. That’s exactly what happened when Nicolas Cage was asked to play “F, Marry, Kill” while talking about Spider-Noir. Rather than getting right into the game, Cage was perplexed over what “F” meant before the conversation turned into an unexpected moment of heart, with him choosing his favourite Spider-Man of all time.

What began as a light-hearted interview challenge quickly turned into a surprisingly sincere conversation.

Celebrity interviews are fun when they take a turn for the unexpected. That’s precisely what happened during a recent chat between Complex and Nicolas Cage, when a lighthearted discussion about a Spider-Man video game soon turned into a conversation about an actor he clearly admires. Rather than just tagging along, Cage gave a heartfelt take on a fellow Spider-Man star.

Cage was asked to play “F, Marry, Kill” with different versions of Spider-Man, but he looked confused. He then paused to say that he did not know what that meant. As the interviewer continued, the conversation turned to his opinions on previous Spider-Man actors, and Cage took the opportunity to give Andrew Garfield a shout-out.

“I thought Garfield was a really great Spider-Man. I thought he did a terrific job. He's a marvelous actor. For all the younger Peter Parker, Spider-Man, he was the one that I thought really was quite something to watch. So if you were to F. M. Kill. Right, right. I would put Garfield as in my view the best Spider-Man in cinema,” he added.

For context, Garfield is still a fan favorite Spider-Man. His take on Peter Parker has been praised for its blend of emotion, humor, and intensity, with many calling his performance one of the most memorable takes on the character to date. Cage has recently echoed that admiration, and his comments quickly caught the attention of Spider-Man fans.
