What is the documentary Saban about?

The six-part documentary series, Saban will explore former college football coach Nick Saban’s time with the Miami Dolphins and Louisiana State University. It will also focus on his more than 15-year stint with the University of Alabama. During that time, Saban led the team to nine championship appearances and six titles.

While fans have witnessed many of these wins, the documentary will also feature a rare look at the coach’s journey. The series will feature hundreds of hours of previously unreleased video footage filmed during Saban’s time at the University of Alabama. At Saban’s request, the footage was never released while he was still coaching the team. Now, those never-before-seen moments will be explored in the documentary, including his emotional and motivational speeches after heartbreaking losses and hard-earned wins.

“You know, it’s not hard to convey Nick Saban’s intensity on screen, but I think what’ll surprise people is the heart that the story has,” director Russell Dinallo said.
