A24 has released an intense trailer for its upcoming film Primetime, featuring Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen, who is shown catching a predator in the familiar television style. Pattinson was beyond convincing as the detestable Antinous in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey; he was charmingly diffident, stammering and rumpled at times in The Drama, but now he strives to be a brooding and menacing Chris Hansen in A24’s Primetime

And the latest trailer is proof that the actor is in tune with the character and the pitch of the project.

Robert Pattinson stuns in the first trailer for Primetime

The first full trailer for Primetime, which stars Robert Pattinson as Dateline NBC correspondent Chris Hansen, has been released by A24. The most recent teaser offers an intense look into Pattinson's Hansen and the individuals in his sphere at this phase of his life, while the first Primetime teaser hinted at this investigation at the end of May. The movie dramatizes the plot of the news magazine's well-known pedophile-sting piece, which became the television series To Catch a Predator

As TV journalist Chris Hansen, who hosted To Catch a Predator under the Dateline NBC banner, the actor both produces and stars in Primetime. Over the course of three seasons, from 2004 to 2007, Hansen led a number of sting operations against child predators in the US that were captured on hidden cameras.

Given the grim subject matter handled in To Catch a Predator, Primetime's psychological thriller tone is appropriate. According to the latest trailer, this was one of the most-watched TV series of the 2000s, and Pattinson's Hansen was thrilled about the possibility that it might surpass ABC's Lost. But, as was already said, To Catch a Predator was not without controversy; over its three seasons on television, it was frequently accused of entrapment and had conflicts of interest.
