Natalia Dyer and Elijah Wood are all set to join the former cast of 1408 for a sequel. Based on Stephen King’s short story of the same name, 1408 is a hit horror classic for fans, which also had a decent run across the box office. Now, nearly two decades later, the film is returning for a sequel and could possibly bring back two of the notable actors, John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson.

However, if Cusack and Jackson were to join the film, this time the two will be playing supporting roles in the horror sequel.

If the two stars return, the original cast will take in secondary roles this time, as per Variety. Mikael Håfström, who directed the original film, is also set to return to take on the task of directing the sequel. As for Cusack’s return, the actor told PEOPLE in 2025 that the only sequel he would be interested in doing is for 1408.

“There’s one that I think would be interesting to do, which would be ‘1408.’ Just because … I think today, you know, most movies s***,” he said.
