Kim Kardashian wishes her late father, famed attorney Robert Kardashian, could be around to see her play a lawyer in All’s Fair, because, as she puts it, he would have been her most supportive system. The reality star’s journey into the legal world has been a deeply personal one, shaped in part by her father’s legacy and the childhood memories of watching him work.
While Kardashian has spent years building her business empire and television career, her legal ambitions have brought her closer to a part of her father’s life that she has always admired. And that is why she started pursuing law through California's Law Office Study Program.
And now, as she returns to the courtroom on screen, the absence of the man who first inspired her continues to hit close to home.
Kim Kardashian gets emotional thinking about her late father
During a conversation with On the Red Carpet for All’s Fair Season 2 New York City Premiere at Highline Studios on November 2, Kim Kardashian reflected on how her late father would have reacted to her playing an attorney in the show and pursuing legal studies in real life.
"I think he would have loved it and the synergy and just, you know, when I do study and I think about it. He would have been my best study buddy and totally cheering me on. He would have got a kick out of this big life," Kardashian said.

Robert Kardashian, who was a prominent lawyer and part of O.J. Simpson’s defense team, passed away in 2003. Kim Kardashian’s pursuit of a legal career has been far from a simple Hollywood storyline. She began studying through California’s Law Office Study Program and has spent years working toward her goal while juggling her businesses, family, and entertainment commitments.
Her father’s influence remains a constant presence in that journey. As she reflected on the possibility of sharing her legal experiences with him, Kardashian described him as the study partner she wishes she could still have by her side.
And while Robert may not be here to watch her take on a fictional courtroom, Kardashian’s television career has certainly given her a new platform to bring that passion to life.
All’s Fair has Kim Kardashian laughing off the critics
If All’s Fair has taught Kim Kardashian anything, it’s that critics and audiences do not always see eye to eye. The Ryan Murphy legal drama faced a brutal reception from reviewers when it debuted, but that did not stop viewers from tuning in.
At the same red carpet event in New York, Kardashian pointed to the show’s success as proof that a series does not necessarily need critical acclaim to connect with its audience.
“I think history is proven that c********** create success, but I think it just shows that you could make something just for the watchers and for the fans to enjoy themselves, and it doesn't have to be critically acclaimed,” she said.

Whether she’s chasing her real-life legal ambitions or playing a lawyer on television, Kardashian seems determined to keep moving forward. And if her father could see her now, she believes he would be right there beside her, books open and ready to study.
