'Moving' Season 2 Returns With Star-Studded Cast, Bigger Stakes & New Characters

South Korean superhero gem, Moving, returns for an intense second season, combining family elements with explosive fight scenes, which first debuted on Disney+ and Hulu in 2023. In its first few days of release, the heartfelt yet mind-bending drama became one of the most popular Korean dramas around the world. 

The world of hidden powers, ancient secrets, and their generational bonds captivated viewers instantly, amplifying the demand for a second season after its cliffhanger ending.

Disney+ has announced that Moving will return for Season 2 with its original creative team and cast, who will take viewers back to the show's exciting and mysterious world. The sophomore season will bring back Ryu Seung-ryong and Han Hyo-joo's mesmerizing chemistry. Along with them, Zo In-sung, Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Jung-ha, Go Youn-jung, and Kim Do-hoon will reprise their roles from the first chapter. 

The latest reports indicate that new actors will join the cast, which includes the veteran star of Public Enemy and Mantis, Seol Kyung-Gu. Meanwhile, the new season is also set to feature Yum Jung-ah and Noh Yoon-seo in significant roles.

The casting for the second season is in the final stages, and filming is set to begin in June. Director Kim Sung-hoon (Kingdom) helms the production while writer Kang Full handles the expansion of the story world, which will keep Season 2 tied to the webtoon's complex storytelling system.

Moving season 1 became an unlikely hit on Disney+ upon its debut on August 9, 2023, and conclusion on September 20, 2024, standing out as a refreshing new take on superhero dramas, making its own unprecedented mark in the sizzling world of K-dramas. Three high schoolers with inherited powers teamed up with their parents to battle against dark forces that endangered their families during Season 1.

The new season will continue existing conflicts by exploring how the climactic battles of the final episode affect the arrival of fresh adversaries who appeared in the post-credits scenes. Fans have also theorized pertinent Kang Full webtoons, like Light Shop and Bridge, could mingle with the Moving storyline, promising an even richer universe.
