It is relatively easy to make a biographical feature on a known personality and have it connect with the audience, as they are already somewhat familiar with the life and the journey of the person. However, the task becomes especially Herculean when exploring the story of a largely unknown figure who made the impossible possible from the shadows. Tenzing dares to take on this challenge and has shone the spotlight on a Sherpa who helped make an improbable mountaineering dream into an enduring reality.

In doing so, the film has impressed audiences with the inspiring story it presents with such emotional vulnerability, and it has translated into an exceptional Rotten Tomatoes score of 98%.

Tenzing scores big on Rotten Tomatoes

Early critical reception for the Apple TV+ mountaineering feature, Tenzing, has shattered personal bests for its high-profile headliners. Propelled by 61 reviews, the biographical drama sits at a staggering 98 percent critical approval on Rotten Tomatoes, alongside a stellar 92 percent viewer rating from over 250 audience submissions.

For Tom Hiddleston, the milestone marks a career-high watermark on the review aggregator, eclipsing previous critical darlings like Archipelago (96 percent) as well as fan-favorite blockbusters such as Midnight in Paris and Thor: Ragnarok (both at 93 percent). On the viewer side, the 92 percent audience score officially outpaces the previous high-water mark claimed by Avengers: Infinity War.
