Season 1 of MobLand ended with the Harrigan empire badly fractured. Conrad and Maeve were behind bars, Kevin had begun carving his own path, and Harry Da Souza was left facing the damage at home after Jan turned against him. With old alliances weakened and new threats waiting, Season 2 returns to a family already close to collapse.

Episode 1 wastes no time turning those cracks into open warfare.

Season 2 wastes no time reminding viewers that the Harrigans have not learned the meaning of restraint. Conrad and Maeve are back in circulation after their imprisonment, yet their return does nothing to restore stability inside the family. The pair head to a dog track for a heroin transaction involving Turkish criminals, only to discover that Kevin has already negotiated his own arrangement with the same side of the operation.

For Conrad, the deal represents a direct challenge to his authority. His anger escalates when the Turkish side points out the humiliation caused by Kevin's independent move. Paul attempts to contain the situation, but Conrad chooses violence. He takes a gun and launches an attack across the meeting, dragging Maeve into the carnage alongside him. Conrad suffers a gunshot wound to the shoulder during the confrontation, while several people around them are killed.

Harry is nowhere near the dog track when the massacre begins. He is sitting in couples counseling with Jan, attempting to address the damage caused by the Season 1 finale. Their session quickly becomes irrelevant when Paul calls with news of Conrad's rampage. Harry leaves to deal with the aftermath, once again placing the Harrigan operation ahead of his own collapsing marriage. Jan is also dealing with Gina's absence, with the teenager having left behind a bitter message for her mother.

Harry eventually reaches the Cotswolds and confronts Conrad and Maeve about their reckless behavior. He sees the family heading toward destruction, with Kevin operating independently and Kat waiting for the right moment to strike. Harry urges Conrad to repair the relationship with Kevin before the conflict becomes irreversible. Conrad dismisses the warning, making it clear that reason has little influence over him.

The dog track massacre leaves Harry with a larger problem, because the violence may have been arranged to deepen a conflict that already exists.

Cleaning up Conrad's latest disaster becomes Harry's first priority. A surviving witness identifies the Harrigans to police, forcing Harry to locate him and pressure him into withdrawing the accusation. With assistance from a corrupt officer, Harry manages to contain the immediate legal danger, but the incident reinforces his fear that the family is becoming impossible to control.

Harry then turns his attention to Kevin. The younger Harrigan believes he is finally making meaningful decisions for himself, but Harry sees another possibility. Someone may have deliberately encouraged Kevin to strike his own Turkish deal, knowing that Conrad would interpret it as an act of rebellion. Harry tells Kevin that the arrangement looks like part of a plan designed to drive a permanent wedge between father and son. Kevin remains skeptical, although the warning gives him something to consider.

Across London, Kat McAllister is building her own strategy. Her position as the new U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom places her inside a world of diplomatic influence while she quietly works against the Harrigans. She meets Seraphina and offers assistance in the young Harrigan's pursuit of control over the family, establishing a partnership that could alter the succession struggle.

Kat also meets Sgt. Det. Colin Tattersall, who proposes finding a criminal capable of becoming a major force in London under her guidance. He describes this prospective ally as a “paladin,” and the episode eventually reveals his choice: Frankie Cooper, played by Johnny Flynn. 

Harry's surveillance of Maeve produces another surprise. Zosia follows her and discovers that Maeve has maintained contact with Eddie, who has been generating money through protection schemes aimed at online influencers. Gina has been helping him, giving Maeve another family complication to manage.

With the Harrigans pulling in different directions, Harry finally gets close to the person he believes is behind the entire arrangement.

Harry's investigation culminates with a confrontation against Gakbu, the Turkish crime figure connected to the transaction that triggered Conrad's attack. He tracks Gakbu to his home and opens fire on his vehicle as it passes through the gates. The assault leaves Gakbu badly wounded, but Harry keeps him alive long enough to obtain the information he has been chasing.

Harry wants one name. He needs to know who arranged the connection between Kevin and the Turkish operation. Gakbu eventually identifies Kat McAllister.

The admission gives Harry something he did not have at the start of the episode: confirmation. His suspicion is no longer based solely on the way events have unfolded around the Harrigans. Kat has been involved in the maneuver that helped turn Kevin's ambition into another source of conflict for Conrad.

That revelation also gives the season a clear direction. Kat is working through several channels at once. Seraphina offers an insider with ambitions of her own, Tattersall provides access to the criminal world, and Frankie now appears positioned to become a significant weapon in the struggle for London. 

There is a brief personal development for Harry as well. Zosia contacts him with news concerning Gina, giving him a rare moment of relief after an episode dominated by violence and betrayal. His marriage remains strained, his employers remain unstable, and the enemy he feared is now directly connected to the family's latest crisis.

By the closing minutes, every major relationship has shifted. Conrad has created an international problem, Kevin is pursuing independence, Seraphina is negotiating for power, Maeve is maintaining secret connections, and Harry has identified the person manipulating the fractures. Frankie then enters the picture as Kat's potential new force.

“I Wanna Be Your Dog” turns the Harrigan family war into the foundation of Season 2, leaving Harry with one discovery that could determine everything that follows.
