Juliano Valdi hopes to make his Marvel debut one day. He is already attached to one of Hollywood’s biggest projects this year, having starred as Young Michael Jackson in the biopic Michael. The film has become one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, and while a sequel is reportedly in talks, the young actor is already envisioning his future in another major franchise.

Valdi has expressed interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he already has a character in mind.

Juliano Valdi recently shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he hopes to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe one day and play Miles Morales. The character is a teenage superhero and a multiverse variant of Spider-Man in Marvel Comics. While a live-action movie is not yet in development, the young actor has already expressed his hopes to play the character. 

“I’m getting to the age where I really wanna play Miles Morales, so hopefully I can do that,” Valdi said. “I’m not 15 yet, but I would love to hop in the MCU.”

He further shared with Entertainment Weekly that he already has his mother’s support, as she believes he bears a resemblance to Miles Morales. As of now, Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse are the two animated films featuring Miles Morales. And the third and final animated film in the franchise, Beyond the Spider-Verse, is currently in work. 

While Shameik Moore voiced the character in the films, Nadji Jeter has also lent his voice to the character in other films. While the character has already been featured in the hit animated Spider-Verse films, Marvel Studios has long shown interest in bringing Miles’ story to live action. So, there is hope for Valdi.

“I definitely have a desire to bring Miles Morales to the screen and to shepherd whoever the lucky young kid is who gets that job, in the way that Robert Downey Jr. did for me,” Tom Holland told the AP.

Now, Valdi is not the only actor campaigning for the role.

Amid rumors of a live-action adaptation of Miles Morales, several names have been mentioned in the conversation, along with various fan-casting suggestions. One such name is Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin. The actor has previously opened up about his interest in joining the MCU and playing Miles Morales if given the opportunity. 

“I think Miles represents something bigger than myself; it represents something bigger than most people,” he said. 

He further explained his connection to the character through being from New York, as well as how the Spider-Verse story has resonated with so many people. With several interesting candidates already being discussed for the role of Miles Morales, there is clearly strong fan interest in a potential live-action adaptation. However, Marvel has not officially announced any actor for the role, so it remains to be seen how the studio will approach bringing Miles Morales into live action.
