A biopic such as Michael carries immense weight, and the pressure was felt by the cast and crew involved in the movie. One such is Colman Domingo, who played the role of Joe Jackson in the movie. In a recent interview with Cinemark Theatres, the actor was asked to describe Michael in one word, and his response explained both the tough and best parts of the job.
“I mean listen, the stakes are so high. It wasn’t easy, but it was a privilege,” he said.
Indeed, the stakes are high, given that the movie is expected to focus not only on the life of the legend but also on the legacy he built. As per insiders, it will also shed light on Jackson’s iconic ‘Bad’ Tour. Glimpses of Jaafar Jackson’s performance in the movie, including the iconic moonwalk, already have the fandom talking on social media.
While speaking of expectations, Domingo had also earlier expressed hope that Jackson's daughter, Paris Jackson, would come to like the film after clarifying their past misunderstandings.

Colman Domingo’s one comment had caused much confusion. This happened after he was quoted in People Magazine, suggesting that Paris Jackson and her brother had liked the film. Soon, Domingo clarified in an interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine that his comments were taken out of context and added that People later updated the article to better reflect his original intent. And following the incident, Domingo also directly messaged Jackson to clear the misunderstanding, and she responded by liking his message.
