While Jordan has earned the greatest public recognition, his breakup with Lori Harvey did leave certain fractures in his life that he is still trying to navigate.

From 2020 until 2022, Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey maintained a romantic relationship, which established them as one of Hollywood's most famous couples. Recently, the Sinners star appeared in an episode of The Breakfast Club where he divulged on how he finds it challenging to handle his public relationship breakup with Harvey.

Jordan explained that sometimes two people can genuinely love each other but still not be right for each other, especially if they are at different stages in life or want different levels of commitment. He suggested that in modern relationships, love alone is not always enough to make things work, and timing, priorities, and emotional readiness play a huge role.

"I go back and forth between wanting partnership and then not knowing what's the best partner for me," Jordan explained his restricted emotional state after his relationship with Harvey ended.

To those curious, the actor confirmed he is single. While Jordan admitted to being very lonely, he also said he was not actively looking to find new love. 

"I'm not looking, but it would take a very special person to understand and grow with me," the actor concluded, and his comments resonated with many because they reflected a realistic view of modern relationships.

Jordan not only dished on the difficulties of finding a perfect match who could grow with and alongside him, but also spoke at length about how the vastly different and dynamic world of an actor can impact a romance. According to him, there are several people he could meet by fluke with whom he could vibe better; however, he would not consider it his utmost priority at the moment, which aligns with his packed slate for the next two years.

His upcoming projects include Miami Vice and various action movies like Rainbow Six, which are now being developed. He will play a voice role in the movie Swapped, while he plans to reprise his role in Creed IV to continue the boxing franchise, which he helped to restore.
