Sadly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's network of friends in Hollywood is getting smaller, per a report by Celebrating The Soaps. Sky News host Danica De Giorgio claims that this is because these celebrities are concerned about their motives. Following a Daily Mail article claiming Oprah Winfrey feels damaged for taking part in the 2-hour long tell-all interview with the Sussexes, De Giorgio spoke with royal analyst Andrew Eborn.
“Andrew, I’m not surprised, to be honest, that the circle of friends are trying to move away, because I just feel like everything Harry and Meghan do, it’s all about brand Harry and Meghan, it’s, it’s never about everybody else, but what’s your take on this?” said De Giorgio.
“A lot of people are coming out, and the worry is this is that Meghan is now making sure you can click on her clothes and you can buy that very same dress and she’ll get a kickback from it, and people are worried that it’s about transactional relationships,” Eborn responded.
He further claimed that the reason behind the Sussexes' increased assimilation with the A-listers is simply that they can benefit financially from them. A particularly telling and recorded example of this was the recent light-hearted banter between Markle and her Suits ex-co-star Patrick J. Adams, who would not try As Ever jam unless he received it for free in the mail, as claimed by Celebrating The Soaps.
That Hollywood is a fast-paced industry, up to s catching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's post-royal breakaway efforts, according to Celebrating the Soaps.
The criticism against Meghan Markle does not end here, as she is also subjected to slander online, comparing her to someone very similar in position to her.
Meghan Markle called ‘Sarah Ferguson 2.0’
Critics have called Meghan Markle "Sarah Ferguson 2.0," comparing her to the former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. According to insiders cited by The Radar Online, Meghan is using the same tactic that Sarah Ferguson did before. The analogy to Sarah Ferguson's previous cash-for-access scandals has provoked intense debate within royal circles and monarchy observers worldwide.

Meghan Markle's detractors contend that while she attends high-level events, develops her brand, and increases her influence in the US, she depends more and more on her Duchess title, royal ties, and international reputation. The incident has rekindled discussion about whether Meghan and Prince Harry still profit from their royal status even after they left their front-line roles in 2020. This might also be the reason why Hollywood is steering clear of the royal couple.
