According to The Mirror’s sources, Meghan Markle is cautious about Prince Harry's attempts to mend fences with his royal family. She is worried that the 39-year-old might come to regret it later. The source disclosed that while the Duchess empathizes with Kate Middleton's situation, she firmly believes that "it doesn’t change things" and she "can never fully forgive the royals" for their actions towards her and her husband, without ever offering an apology.

The Duchess is reportedly aware of Prince Harry's wish to reconcile with the family, and the news regarding Kate Middleton has only spurred him on. However, she views the Duke's optimism as "naive". Allegedly, Markle is afraid that her husband "will be made a fool of again and William will use him”. The insider also suggested that the 42-year-old is worried about losing control over the situation. Nevertheless, one aspect she has absolute control over is her decision to partake in the UK visit, and recent reports seem to indicate that she is leaning towards declining.
