Founded in 2017, Troop 6000 has a noble mission – to provide girls residing in New York City’s homeless shelters with an opportunity to become Girl Scouts and chase their dreams. Tailored for girls between the ages of 5 and 18, it is more than just a community; it is a thriving hub with aspirations as vast as the horizon. On October 11, the Archewell Foundation lent its support in a beautiful celebration of International Day of the Girl Child alongside the New York Scouts.

Since then, it has extended its reach, touching the lives of over a thousand girls across approximately 25 shelter locations. Their involvement was not just about marking the occasion; they were positively over the moon to share dinner with the troop leaders. What is more, the foundation went the extra mile and was “thrilled”. It generously contributes scarves, beanies, and tote bags. The foundation after tying with Geanco Foundation this time furthered another message as it echoed their pride in celebrating girls, both near and far.

International Day of the Girl with global icon- Malala Yousafzai

Markle and Prince Harry teamed up with Malala Yousafzai to mark International Day of the Girl back in 2020.
