Until just a few days ago, there was a strong sense of understanding that Prince Harry would be visiting London in July with his wife, Meghan Markle, and kids - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. It was even reported that King Charles offered Prince Harry family accommodations in the Royal Palace, extending an olive branch to mend broken relationships. However, some recent reports suggest a sudden change of plans in Prince Harry’s London visit.

Reportedly, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet will not be joining Prince Harry on his trip to London next week.

Prince Harry's trip to London next week will not be accompanied by the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Archie, or Princess Lilibet due to an ongoing dispute over his family's police security, as reported by several outlets. Nonetheless, the Sussex family might still accompany him to events across the United Kingdom. As reports suggest, no decision has been made on the family accompanying the duke during the remainder of the visit, which will take place outside of the British capital.

On Monday, the Duke will go alone to London, though it is unclear if he will accept an invitation to stay at a royal home. On his five-day journey to commemorate the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games in Birmingham, Prince Harry had intended to be accompanied by the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet. The last time the children saw their grandfather in person was in 2022, during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee festivities.

The Duke discovered on Friday that the Risk Management Board (RMB) evaluation, which is a step in the process by which the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) decides on his security needs, has not yet been completed. After stepping down as a working royal in 2020, Prince Harry's level of protection changed, and he has been embroiled in a protracted legal dispute with the Home Office over security measures for him and his family when in the UK.

Despite the snag that hit the way, Prince Harry is exploring other options to bring his family to his homeland for the visit.

Prince Harry's spokeswoman told CNN on Friday that the Duke's security detail was still considering ways to make the visit, along with his family, feasible. In recent days, it was reported that Prince Harry was investigating every possibility to safely bring his family to his home country for this brief visit, despite the family accommodations offered by King Charles.
