Following the success of the thrilling sports biopic The Fire Inside, director Rachel Morrison has returned with a new romantic drama film this year, Love of Your Life. Written by Julia Cox, the film follows a quiet, emotional journey of love, loss, and healing. The first trailer introduces a young woman trying to find herself amid life’s trials and tribulations.

And the heartfelt story is brought to life by a talented cast, including The Substance actress, and the team is worth exploring.

Margaret Qualley as Maya: Margaret Qualley is not a stranger in Hollywood. She is well known for her performance in The Substance and recently starred in The Dog Stars.

 Aaron Pierre as Felix: Aaron Pierre is well known for starring as John Stewart in the new HBO series Lanterns. He previously starred in Rebel Ridge and Genius.

Patrick Schwarzenegger as Jason: Many might know Patrick Schwarzenegger for his role in the third season of The White Lotus. He also appeared in The Staircase and American Sports Story. 

Gabriel Basso as Charlie: He is known for his roles in The Kings of Summer, The Whole Truth, and  Barely Lethal. He also appeared in the Netflix series The Night Agent. 

Catherine Keener, Tamara Lawrance, and Corey Johnson are also part of the cast. The film follows Maya, an ER nurse who meets a man, Charlie, falls in love, and eventually marries him. However, their relationship takes a devastating turn when Charlie passes away. His death led Maya to set out on a journey of self-discovery, during which she meets Felix.

  Just as the trailer suggests, Love of Your Life promises an emotional ride. And it was this deeply moving story that convinced Qualley to join the film.

Margaret Qualley opened up about her latest film, Love of Your Life, revealing that the script was what drew her to the project. The actress described the film as an emotional ride that intrigued her. She shared more about the story during her appearance at the movie’s world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

"I was just ‌blown away, and I cried reading it," Qualley told Reuters.

Director Rachel Morrison, who has experienced loss in her own life, also revealed that she could relate to the story. She admitted that the film reflects parts of her own experiences, making the project even more meaningful. Love of Your Life promises to be an emotional, uplifting, and feel-good watch. Produced by Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson, the movie will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on October 14.
