Marvel’s supernatural corner has quietly been building one of the MCU’s most important storylines, and its biggest payoff may be hiding in plain sight. A new report claims WandaVision, Agatha All Along and the upcoming VisionQuest are essential viewing for Avengers: Secret Wars, turning three seemingly separate magic-heavy stories into pieces of a much bigger puzzle. And if that sounds like a bold claim, the details behind Wanda, her family and Doctor Doom make it far harder to dismiss.

What once looked like three disconnected supernatural detours could soon become some of the most important homework in the entire MCU.

According to Marvel insider Alex Perez, the Maximoff family will have a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars, with Scarlet Witch’s power reportedly playing a crucial part in how Doctor Doom creates Battleworld. The story is also said to draw heavily from Marvel Comics’ Children’s Crusade, particularly its focus on Wanda and her children, Billy and Tommy. Perez specifically pointed to the importance of WandaVision, Agatha All Along and VisionQuest, urging fans to pay close attention to their mythology.

“It is not an exaggeration when I tell you that it is mandatory that you watch WandaVision, Agatha All Along, and eventually VisionQuest for Secret Wars. When you do, pay attention to the details.” Perez told Cosmic Circus.

And there is a lot to remember- Wanda’s Hex, the rules and limits of her magic, Agatha’s connection to Wanda, the runes, the Witches’ Road, and Billy’s role in creating it could all become important pieces of the Secret Wars puzzle. Perez also teased that the story involves a major reunion for the Maximoff family, suggesting Marvel’s supernatural threads may be converging just as the MCU approaches its next multiversal war.

If Marvel’s magical breadcrumbs are pointing toward Secret Wars, the MCU still has one enormous disaster waiting to tear the multiverse apart first.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, with Anthony and Joe Russo directing and Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely writing. The Phase Six event brings together heroes from across the MCU and Fox’s X-Men universe, including Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Letitia Wright’s Shuri, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova and major X-Men figures including Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Ian McKellen’s Magneto, James Marsden’s Cyclops and Channing Tatum’s Gambit.

The film is expected to set the stage for Secret Wars set for 2027, with Doctor Doom positioned as the central antagonist and the enormous ensemble pulled into a multiversal crisis spanning multiple realities. Perez has also teased several major mysteries, including Tobey Maguire’s return in both films, a Resistance Avengers team divided into smaller groups, Scarlet Witch’s potential importance, unexpected Asgardians answering Thor’s call, and surprises still being held for the third act. 

Thus, with Doomsday arriving first and Doctor Doom poised to reshape the multiverse, WandaVision, Agatha All Along and VisionQuest could prove far more essential than they ever seemed.
