Masters of the Universe brought the world of Eternia to life on the big screen with plenty of sword-swinging action and intense battles. And following Prince Adam’s win, the film concluded with several crucial post-credits scenes that helped set up the future of the franchise. The first scene after the credits showed the missing character, Orko.

However, it was the other two major post-credits scenes that showed intriguing hints about what could be in store if a sequel moves forward. (Spoilers for Masters of the Universe ahead.)

The second and most important post-credits scene of Masters of the Universe is of a conversation between Queen Marlena, played by Charlotte Riley, and Man-at-Arms, played by Idris Elba. Marlena speaks about her hope that another mysterious person could return, just as Prince Adam did after 15 years. The scene then shifts to a mysterious location, where a woman in a red cape stands with her back to the camera.

This is when a character enters and asks if she is Force Captain Adora. In response, she replies, “No, not anymore.” It may not take long for fans to recognize the character as She-Ra, but the Sword of Protection that she held in her hand quickly confirmed her identity. However, just how important her role could be, why she is no longer Force Captain Adora, and several other questions remain unanswered unless a sequel moves forward.

Director Travis Knight has also expressed interest in exploring She-Ra's character further should a future film be made.

"She-Ra has always been a big part of the 'Masters' world, and a big part of Adam's story. In the fullness of time, if we're lucky to tell more stories in this universe, She-Ra will play a huge part,” Knight told Nerdist.

For those unfamiliar, Adora, better known as She-Ra, is Prince Adam’s twin sister who was k******** as an infant by the leader of the Evil Horde, Hordak. Raised away from her family, she eventually reunites with her brother and learns the truth about her past. After turning against the Horde, Adora embraces her destiny and fights to protect her planet.

Apart from the exciting scene showing an appearance by She-Ra, there is one final post-credits scene that hints at an even bigger future for the franchise.

Is this the end of Skeletor?

The final post-credits scene of Masters of the Universe  teases a potential sequel while setting up a new threat for the future. The scene brings back the evil witch Evil-Lyn, played by Alison Brie. She is seen holding Skeletor’s disembodied head before the screen cuts to black, but his terrifying laugh echoes one last time.

So, there is a strong possibility that Skeletor could return in a sequel. Whether She-Ra and Skeletor will appear together in the same film or whether one of them will help pave the way for a later installment remains unclear. For now, Masters of the Universe has clearly hyped up the fans, with its post-credits scenes setting up plenty of intriguing possibilities for the franchise’s future.
