According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios has decided that Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again will conclude the series. The revelation arrives roughly two months after production wrapped, with the final season already deep into post-production. The third season is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2027.

The news also comes alongside Dario Scardapane's departure. His contract expired and was not renewed, meaning the showrunner is leaving while post-production is still underway. Scardapane joined the project during its major creative overhaul and helped shape the darker direction that carried through the revival. Who will oversee the remaining work has not been publicly established.

The decision marks another major shift for Marvel Television, which has recently seen Wonder Man cancelled after one season despite an earlier renewal for Season 2. Marvel has also greenlit a new spy thriller titled Zodiac, indicating that the studio is still developing television projects while changing how its Disney+ slate is managed.

Before that farewell arrives, another Marvel series is preparing to continue the story of one of the MCU's most complicated heroes.

VisionQuest is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on October 14, 2026, completing a television trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued through Agatha All Along. Paul Bettany returns as Vision, who has escaped those seeking to weaponize him and is searching for a new sense of purpose.

The series introduces Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be connected to Vision, while the synthezoid confronts the artificial intelligence personalities embedded in his programming, including JARVIS and Ultron. The story places Vision's identity, autonomy, and relationship with his own past at the heart of the narrative.

With Wonder Man already gone and Daredevil: Born Again now heading toward its final season, VisionQuest arrives during a noticeable transition for Marvel's television strategy. The Man Without Fear still has one last battle ahead, but the end of his current television story is now firmly in sight.
