At the center of Marshals is Luke Grimes, reprising his cult-favorite role of Kayce Dutton, a former cowboy who becomes a US Marshal after leaving his ranching duties, which follow the events of Yellowstone. The cast includes Yellowstone veterans Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater), Mo Brings Plenty (Mo), and Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton), alongside several new actors.
Logan Marshall-Green as Pete Calvin, Arielle Kebbel as Belle Skinner, Ash Santos as Andrea Cruz, and Tatanka Means as Miles Kittle have also joined the cast. The cast includes Alabama country singer Riley Green, who makes his acting debut in a series regular role, which brings unexpected star power to the lineup. Green is said to appear in several episodes as Garrett; however, much of his storyline is kept under tight wraps.
“I’m so excited to be joining the cast of Marshals. Being on set with my buddy Luke Grimes made the experience even more memorable. This is my first go around in the acting space, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this world," Green divulged on his acting debut to Variety.
Meanwhile, Luke Grimes brings fresh fervor to the show as he leaves the world of Yellowstone behind.
What is the plot of Marshals about?
Former US Navy SEAL and rancher Kayce Dutton takes a new elite route, leaving the ranch behind as he becomes a part of a specialized group of US Marshals bestowed with the grand duty of protecting Montana.
