'Margo’s Got Money Troubles' Episode 6 Recap: Margo’s Got Legal Troubles Now

Published 05/07/2026, 11:33 AM EDT

Apple TV’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles has been steadily moving towards the endgame of its first season, and the first marker of that descent was the big dent in the mother-daughter relationship that Shyanne and Kenny’s wedding in Las Vegas brought with it. The joyous occasion turned into a silent battle to grasp for air after the suffocation of some intense revelations. However, Margo attempts to patch things up with her mom, and that includes her fake promise to leave her OnlyFans hustle.

The last scene of the fifth episode shows Margo breaking that promise and making plans with Rose and KC for her next big move as the HungryGhost. Episode 6, titled Grudge Match, takes speed in that direction and shows Margo’s journey ahead as an OnlyFans model. But as it goes for Margo, nothing good comes to her without a truckload of pandemonium on its tail.

The episode has moments of triumph and celebrations as well as doom and despair, and it all starts with Margo’s rise to fame.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles episode 6 recap: Margo’s OnlyFans persona goes viral

Episode 6 opens with a weirdly artistic scene where Margo is transformed into an alien, and through a theatre screen, she addresses her audience, introducing herself as HungryGhost. Turns out this is the idea playing out in Margo's head for her big collaboration with Rose and KC, which she is simultaneously jotting down to pitch to the seasoned OnlyFans creators.

They both loved the concept, and soon Margo began to form her creative team, which had Susie for costumes and makeup and Jinx as part-time stunt choreographer and full-time manny for baby Bodhi. Jinx, however, makes it clear that, as supportive as he is of Margo’s career, he wants to be nowhere near when the actual action begins.

In order to reach a larger audience and potentially increase traffic to her OnlyFans account, the team, with Margo on the script, puts together an entire amateur production that establishes HungryGhost's more mainstream identity on Instagram and TikTok. With all the progress Margo is making with her career as an OnlyFans model, Jinx is just happy to see that his daughter, who set out to become a writer initially, has now returned to writing, even if it is like this.

Eventually, Margo's internet career takes off when one of her dance videos as HungryGhost goes viral. However, the moment of victory is cut short when Jinx gets served in their apartment. It turns out that even after his foolish visit to Mark's office, where he fractured the latter's hand, the former wrestler persisted in harassing the estranged father of Margo's child over the phone. However, he tells his daughter that he will handle the problem on his own. Margo is obviously disappointed with her father’s behavior, and also worried about the NDA she signed with Mark’s mother, which clearly states that she cannot contact Mark or his family in any way.

To get legal help, he visits Lace, a friend from his wrestling days who is now a lawyer. She tells him that there is not much to do but to abide by the restraining order and stop harassing Mark. Jinx finds it quite difficult to do as when he heard that Margo's teacher was the father of his grandson, he snapped and has not been able to control his urges to get even with Mark for what he has done to his daughter ever since.

Lace, who knew him for a long time, immediately senses that something else is bothering him, as she never knew him as a violent person outside of the ring. So, when Lace persuades him to tell her what is actually troubling him, he confesses that Shyanne's marriage to Kenny has had an impact on him and not in a good way. He further acknowledged that he had a subconscious desire to get back with her and that Las Vegas is a tough place for addicts. Ultimately, Jinx leaves with a bill, general advice to avoid Mark, and a hint that Lace may still have feelings for him.

'Margo’s Got Money Troubles' Episode 1–3 Recap: Can Margo Survive the Emotional and Financial Burden of Being a Single Mother?

Seems like Margo’s successful flight to fame hit a bit of turbulence with Jinx getting served, but what happens next will ultimately make her sky-high ride plummet in the blink of an eye.

Margo’s identity compromised

Margo has been relatively isolated since Bodhi's birth, juggling childcare, a work-from-home career, and everything else that came with her dysfunctional family. She had already left college, but as she worked out how to start earning money without leaving the house, it severed a vital link in her post-college social life. So, when Becca, her oldest best friend, reached out for a fun New Year's outing with some old high-school friends after their reconciliation, it gave Margo the chance she had been looking for to actually let loose for a moment.

It seemed to be a pretty good idea at the time - two best friends putting aside their past differences, going to have a blast just like old times - what could go wrong? Turns out everything, especially when you are an OnlyFans model with a child out of wedlock. But that thought did not occur to a naive Margo then, who thought seeing some familiar faces would amount to some harmless fun.

Becca comes to pick Margo up and meets Bodhi for the first time. She absolutely adores the little guy. She also exchanges pleasantries with Jinx and Susie before taking Margo away. They arrive at the party location, which is actually the house of an old high school friend. Seeing her old high school pals, Margo feels a rush of nostalgia.

Initially, Margo's teenage pregnancy and its eventual outcome, Bodhi, are the main topics of scandalous discussion. But it doesn't take long for some of the men at the party to recognize the writer from other places. As a result, as HungryGhost's identity is gradually revealed online, Margo starts to get ambiguously threatening remarks on her OnlyFans. After realizing she must leave the situation, a scared Margo texts Jinx to come and get her as soon as possible.

However, the main threat was actually by her side all along. Becca confronted Margo about all the chatter going on about her being in porn. Margo refused to answer her and tried to walk away from the conversation. Becca took her refusal to talk as an affirmative to her question and began her judgmental analysis of her decision.

Because both friends were fresh off some issues that seemed to be resolved, they both got into an intense argument almost immediately. Becca accuses Margo of not caring about her life, while Margo criticizes Becca's privilege. The argument hurts worse since neither is entirely incorrect. However, Becca's last words insinuating that Margo radiates unresolved daddy issues hurt both her and Jinx.

Margo's anonymity virtually vanishes overnight after that. Half-truths and careless criticism begin to gnaw at her life on the internet. But the most dreaded outcome of them all was her mother learning the truth.

Shyanne and Kenny’s reaction to the truth

Margo is certain that her mother and stepfather will ultimately have to answer a few questions about her, given how quickly her unmasking is becoming viral. She chooses to speak with the newlyweds face-to-face about the development at Jinx's recommendation. Shyanne is without a doubt furious and disappointed. But more than that, she is fearful of what Kenny might think. Therefore, she tries to keep Kenny out of the conversation initially.

But when Kenny eventually wanders in on the conversation, Margo insists that Kenny get to know the truth, as he might also get questioned about Margo’s profession in the Church. As Margo carefully and with all the sensibilities that she can describes what she does for a living to Kenny, Shyanne is preparing for the worst. However, Kenny’s reaction surprised everyone.

Margo and Shayanne anticipate a storm because of his traditional Catholic beliefs. Even while it's far from ideal, and somewhat awkward and perplexed, his response is still comparatively judgment-free. At first, he does not see why he needs to participate in the discussion because he did not raise the young lady. Later, he says he will relate the situation to Mary Magdalene after realizing that churchgoers might inquire about it. That parallel does not sit well with Margo, and Kenny takes the correction without becoming preachy.

Kenny's decision to prioritize support above humiliation is what counts. In his own awkward manner, he informs Margo that he wishes to support Shayanne and her family no matter what. Although it is not a flawless response, it is more compassionate than anticipated, turning his persona as an uptight Catholic goody-two-shoes on its head. This new light on Kenny has been shed since the previous episode, and it continues to illuminate his character even further.

Naturally, Jinx is a little irritated by Kenny's understanding and supportive reaction. It is understandable that he wants Kenny to be a villain in some way, as he still has some unresolved feelings for Shyanne, and Kenny being a good partner to her does not help his feelings at all.

However, the most diabolical consequence of this whole mishap comes from an unexpected corner.

Mark wants full custody of Bodhi

While everything seems to be sorted on the family front, Margo gets served, and it is revealed that Mark is suing her for Bodhi’s full custody - something he did not want in the first place. It turns out Mark’s mother orchestrated the whole thing as a way to get back at Margo for maligning her reputation and messing up her son’s life.

She also reprimands Mark for being weak and telling the truth to his wife, who has now cut ties with him after knowing everything Mark did behind her back. His mother’s spite, combined with his desperation to get something back from his life, led him to file for custody on the grounds of Margo being an unfit mother.
