Colman Domingo and Sally Field wish to work together. Both are among the most famous actors in the entertainment industry, with notable films and television shows to their names. Field is known for her roles in Mrs. Doubtfire, The Flying Nun, and more, while Domingo has made a name for himself in Sing Sing and Rustin. 

Now, behind the cameras, the Emmy-winning actors are also big fans of each other and their careers. Although they have crossed paths briefly in the past, both actors hope to take that relationship a step further by working together on a project. And the 2026 Emmys gave them the perfect opportunity to make that wish public. 

Colman Domingo and Sally Field recently attended the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The two shared a heartwarming conversation, but just as Domingo was about to leave, Field quickly added that she would love to work with the actor even if she got a small role. Thrilled by the opportunity, the Euphoria actor immediately turned toward the camera and urged the people watching to make it happen.

"You heard it. Sally Field, Colman Domingo, make it happen," Domingo said. 

The actress even joked that she could play a cleaner if she got the chance to work with the actor. Hopefully, some casting director stumbles upon the video and makes the collaboration happen. Both also talked about the time they worked together on a reading of a Tony Kushner play.

As they fondly recalled those memories, Field had plenty of praise for Domingo and his work. She applauded his talent and encouraged him to continue taking on more projects. Domingo also reciprocated the love as he expressed his own wish to see her make more appearances on-screen.

Later, at the event, Field also gave Domingo and her fans a memorable moment to celebrate.

Sally Field won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her performance in Netflix’s Remarkably Bright Creatures. With the win, she became the oldest actress to take home the honor in the category, surpassing Jessica Tandy. The win was also her 10th Emmy nomination and fourth win. 

“I have been so grateful and so proud to be a part of this community — the arts — for 62 years or something,” she said on stage.

Even at 79, Field continues to show memorable performances across multiple projects. And that opens the possibility of a future collaboration with Domingo. While the two actors have now made their desire to work together public, it remains to be seen whether their on-screen reunion will actually happen.
