The Love Island USA villa often turns small tensions into major talking points. It just so happens that Corbin Mim's exit was one of the season’s most talked-about moments. Between a surprising dumping, rising feelings for Parmida, and fallout from movie night, his story had plenty of drama attached to it.
Corbin has now opened up about how he felt leaving, and what he said makes the exit sound even more revealing.

Corbin Mims is opening up about his exit from Love Island USA, and he did so in a wide-ranging conversation with Variety that covered everything from his elimination to his villa friendships and the viral “CorbinGPT” nickname. His departure clearly stung, but he also left the show with a strong sense of where things stand with Parmida.
“Bro, that was probably the worst way to leave the villa! It was humiliating,” he said to Variety, reflecting on his and Parmida's Karaoke showdown against Zack and Kayda.
In the same Variety interview, Crobin addressed the “CorbinGPT” label, saying the nickname started as a joke about his calm, polished presence in the villa and that he finds the online reaction funny.
"It’s funny because I’m just being me at the end of the day," he said in good fun. Otherwise, as if unaffected by the exit he himself labled "humiliating," Corbin said he still feels good about his connection with Parmida and believes it could continue outside the villa.
“I see this connection going super far,” he said, explaining that he was drawn to her honesty, ambition, and entrepreneurial mindset. He also said the pair shared similar morals, especially a preference for being direct rather than dodging difficult conversations.
With Corbin’s exit still fresh, the show is now shifting focus toward its final couples and the race to the finish.
Final four couples set as Love Island USA Season 8 heads into its last showdown
The Love Island USA Season 8 finale is now down to four couples, setting up a last-round showdown for the $100,000 prize. After the latest vote, the finalists are Trinity and Bryce, Aniya and Carl, Melanie and Sincere, and Kayda and Zach, while Kenzie and Dylan and Titi and KC were the two couples sent home.

The elimination came after the islanders shared a family-style dinner before learning which pairs had received the fewest votes from America. That left the final four to advance to Sunday’s finale, where each couple will get one last romantic date before the winners are revealed from fourth place to first. It also means the season is ending with a mix of original islanders and a few late additions still in contention.
What makes the lineup interesting is how different the journeys have been. Trinity and Bryce, Aniya and Carl, and Melanie and Sincere all made it through from the original cast, while Kayda entered later as a bombshell, and Carl made a return after Casa Amor with viewer support. The final vote was held on the app for a limited window, and now the season is headed toward its biggest payoff yet.
