Garfield further explained that Tim and Polly’s relationship starts out in a colder, more distant place. The couple live in a modern city flat and do not feel quite as close. As they explore, they meet unusual characters such as the fairy Silky, Moon-Face and Saucepan Man. The children also find new lands that change often, each with its own strange rules and challenges.
