Apparently, Megan Fox has found the secret to surviving motherhood: staying home long enough to actually live it. The actress welcomed her first daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, on March 27, 2025, with musician Machine Gun Kelly, adding a daughter to the three sons, Noah, Bodhi, and Journey Green, she shares with Brian Austin Green.

Work can wait, it seems, and Megan Fox has discovered that motherhood feels rather different when there is finally room to breathe.

Megan Fox says motherhood feels remarkably different this time around, largely because she finally had the freedom to stay home. After welcoming her first daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, the actress did not have to rush back to filming or do physically demanding work. Instead, she could experience those early weeks without the same pressure that followed her three sons’ births.

“I’ve been able to choose to be much more present, and I have a lot more peace in my connection with her because of that,” she told PEOPLE.

With Noah Shannon, Bodhi Ransom, and Journey River, Megan Fox returned to work almost immediately because she was in a position where she "had to work.” She resumed intense training within weeks of giving birth, and after Journey River’s birth, she was already facing a global campaign. That constant rush took a physical and emotional toll.

This time, Megan Fox has been able to remain with Saga Blade Fox-Baker in a way she could not before. She has described to PEOPLEeople that being separated from her older children as painful, saying it affected both her mental and physical health. Even now, motherhood brings guilt when she steps away, but having more freedom has given her a calmer connection.

Aside from rumors of her returning for a Jennifer’s Body sequel, going back to work is not the only thing Megan Fox has done differently with her fourth child.

Megan Fox’s experience with Saga Blade has also been strikingly different because even the birth itself unfolded on her own terms. Unlike Noah, Bodhi, and Journey Green, who were born in hospitals, Saga arrived during an outdoor home birth, with Megan Fox delivering her daughter in a tub in her backyard beside a fire pit.

Raising Saga has also meant navigating motherhood alongside Machine Gun Kelly from separate homes after their late 2024 split. Rather than letting the end of their engagement complicate parenting, the former couple has focused on removing their egos and creating a peaceful, consistent family dynamic for their daughter. Alongside having more time away from work, Megan Fox’s calmer birth and co-parenting experience have made motherhood feel markedly different the fourth time around.
