Lioness season 3 is out from the bushes and ready to pounce on viewers on August 2, only on Paramount+. The season brings with it elevated stakes, more tension, and a lot of action, as expected from the popular espionage thriller from Yellowstone fame, Taylor Sheridan. With a new storyline and renewed energy, the show will bring its usual heavy-hitters along with some new faces.

As the release date inches closer, the ardent zealots of the series are desperately scouring the internet for details on the cast of Lionsess season 3.

Zoe Saldaña as Joe: Oscar-winning actress Zoe Saldaña is set to reprise her role as Joe McNamara, the central character in the Lioness series. Joe, the show's leader of the Lioness Program, is an adventurous CIA agent with a chance at both professional and personal redemption after a previous tragedy. Her most notable credits include Emilia Perez, Avatar movies, Guardians of the Galaxy movies, etc.

Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn: Nicole Kidman, another Oscar winner in the cast, will play Kaitlyn Meade once again in Lioness season 3. Under the CIA's Clandestine Service, Kaitlyn, a senior CIA official, oversees the Lioness program. She is known for her performances in The Hours, Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge!, and so on. 

Morgan Freeman as Edwin: In the third season of Lioness, Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman will return with his signature gravitas. Freeman portrays US Secretary of State Edwin Mullins, who handles foreign policy. The veteran actor is famous for his roles in Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption, Seven, and many more.

Michael Kelly as Westfield: Michael Kelly is also anticipated to return to his role as Byron Westfield, the dubious CIA Deputy Director, in the upcoming season. Westfield frequently approves the unlawful, unauthorized U.S. military and intelligence collection overseas while working covertly in a morally dubious sector. People might know him from House of Cards, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, and Dawn of the Dead.

Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz: Laysla De Oliveira, who played Cruz Manuelos, the Force Recon Marine who was enlisted in the Lioness program in the first season of the actual spy tale, is also scheduled to return. Her other works include In the Tall Grass, Locke & Key, Guest of Honour, etc.

Genesis Rodriguez as Josephina: In season 2, Cruz enlists in the U.S. Army Delta Force and is sent to pursue U.S. Army Captain Josephine Carillo, played by Genesis Rodriguez, the daughter of a Mexican cartel lord who kidnapped an American congressman. She is also supposed to be back for another season. Her body of work includes Tusk, The Night Agent, Dame Chocolate, and more. 

Thad Luckinbill as Kyle: In the third season of Lioness, Thad Luckinbill is slated to portray Kyle McManus. One of Joe's closest coworkers and a CIA caseworker, Kyle is the fearless "cowboy" extraction specialist who dives headfirst into the most perilous rescue operations in the Lioness program. He was previously seen in Reptile, Devotion, and 12 Strong.

Ian Bohen as Grady: In Lioness season 3, Ian Bohen has been cast as Grady, a major K9 handler and by-the-book Delta Force operative who is adept at combat strategies. He is known for Yellowstone, Teen Wolf, Air Force One Down, and more.

This, however, is not the complete list, and some more important characters are set to join the cast for the third season.  

The additional cast for Lioness season 3 includes the members of the Quick Force Reaction (QRF) team led by Jill Wagner's Bobby. Lamonica Garrett as Tucker, James Jordan as Two Cups, Austin Hebert as Randy, and Jonah Wharton as Tex are among the other returning members of QRF.

Season 3 of Lioness brings together personal betrayals, foreign agents, and covert networks. Unseen forces revolve around Joe as she balances her obligations and her home life. With the help of Westfield and Kaitlyn, Joe faces adversaries working in the shadows, forcing her to deal with a conflict that now permeates every aspect of her existence. The season starts streaming from August 6 only on Paramount+.
