Stylist Ib Abdel Nasser told Marie Claire that the look's "silhouette, patterns, and cheekiness" drew direct inspiration from Jawbreaker's clique of cardigan-and-mini-skirt-clad socialites. But Reinhart gave it a knowing twist with a high ponytail, summoning her own Riverdale alter ego, Betty Cooper, right alongside it.

The result looked plucked straight from a fairy tale, and it tracks: with The Love Hypothesis aiming to recapture the charm of classic rom-coms, Reinhart's fashion campaign has leaned fully into cinematic nostalgia, one iconic silhouette at a time.

While these looks stand out as the most talked-about tributes so far, Lili Reinhart's stylist has made clear that this rom-com rewind is far from finished. According to Ib Abdel Nasser, Reinhart will continue "paying homage to the leading ladies of the Golden Age of rom-coms and romance films" throughout the remainder of the press tour, meaning there are likely more iconic silhouettes waiting in the wings before The Love Hypothesis hits Prime Video on September 23, 2026.
