As the Avengers lineup came into focus on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, host Jimmy Fallon asked Tyrese Maxey who he would choose as Spider-Man, and without hesitation, he said himself or Donovan Mitchell, briefly explaining that he connects with the idea of being a normal kid who steps up when it matters. However, mapping the rest of his NBA Avengers, Maxey named Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as Iron Man, Isaiah Stewart as the Hulk, LeBron James as Captain America, and Luka Dončić as Thor.

"Captain America will probably have to be LeBron James. Everything that he does is special." Maxey said to Fallon.

While Maxey grabbed headlines for his Avengers-style mapping, the 76ers star has already been carving out a legacy of his own, earning his first NBA All-Star starter selection in January 2026 and, soon after, surpassing Allen Iverson for the most career three-pointers in franchise history on February 26, 2026, marking a defining moment in his rise.
