There is something deeply unsettling about a desperate voice arriving through a telephone line. In Last Seen, that moment becomes life changing when emergency dispatcher Ian Ridley receives a frantic call from a teenage girl and becomes convinced that he is hearing from his daughter, Maggie, who disappeared 11 years earlier. The call tears open a wound that never truly healed and sends Ian into a relentless search for answers.

Behind this mystery is an ensemble led by Patrick Brammall, with several familiar Australian and British performers joining him.

Apple TV+ is also bringing Mayday to screens, a Cold War action comedy built around an unlikely alliance between two men from opposite sides of the conflict.

Mayday arrives alongside Last Seen on Apple TV+

Mayday stars Ryan Reynolds as a US Navy pilot, who becomes stranded behind enemy lines after a secret mission in Soviet territory goes wrong. His path crosses with Nikolai Ustinov, a former KGB agent with a fondness for American culture. Reynolds anchors the story as Lieutenant Troy “Assassin” Kelly, a skilled pilot forced to depend on someone he would ordinarily consider an enemy.

Branagh takes on Nikolai, bringing a more eccentric presence to the former Russian operative whose unexpected decision to help Troy drives the central relationship. They are also supported by a great bunch of acclaimed actors in the cast.
