Labrinth Slams ‘Euphoria’ and Columbia in Explosive Instagram Rant

The makeup and outfits of Euphoria are just as popular as the high-school tension, drama, and scandals that drive the series. A crucial part of the show’s plot and its popularity also comes from its music, such as ‘Still Don’t Know My Name’ and ‘Mount Everest.’ Composer Labrinth’s tracks help create the emotional and tense air surrounding the teen drama and much more serious issues.
While the tension is only expected to increase in Season 3, controversy seems to be building even before the show’s release, as Labrinth recently posted a scathing remark on social media, calling out his own label and HBO’s Euphoria.

Labrinth, who is returning for Season 3 of Euphoria, was excited to collaborate with Hans Zimmer. He even said that Zimmer had been his hero when it came to film scores and hinted that fans can expect something incredible for the new season. However, the British singer-songwriter recently took to Instagram to share a frustrated message, hinting at his disappointment and even an exit.
“I’m done with this industry. F*** Columbia. Double f*** ‘Euphoria.’ I’m out. Thank you and good night x,” he wrote.
This message comes as quite a shock ahead of Season 3, leaving fans speculating about what may have happened to upset the artist. Labrinth’s music has long been the heart and soul of the show, with tracks like 'All for Us', which he created with Zendaya, becoming fan favorites. Meanwhile, actors Barbie Ferreira and Storm Reid are among the notable stars who have exited the series as it returns nearly five years after the second season.
The third season will also feature a massive time jump, moving the characters from their high school years into adulthood.
Euphoria season 3 undergoes a massive change
Euphoria Season 3 will follow the same characters as they face new challenges in adulthood. There will be a bold transformation, pushing its characters far beyond the hallways of high school. With a five-year time jump, the story will dive into adulthood, where past mistakes echo louder and choices carry heavier consequences, giving the show a darker, more mature emotional landscape. But that is not the only change.

The upcoming season is being filmed in VistaVision on 65mm film, giving it an impressive cinematic look. Recent projects like The Brutalist, Dune: Part Two, and One Battle After Another have used this format, so expectations are high for the series. Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Zendaya are returning to reprise their roles. However, Labrinth’s exit from the show remains a huge mystery until the official reason for the same arrives.
