Florence Pugh talks about Dune’s role movie goers
The cast of Dune: Part III spoke to The New York Times about the meal, their experience, and the impact it had on people. During the conversation, Florence Pugh was asked about an impressive change in Hollywood, with box office success boosted after COVID-19. Speaking of the change, the actress explained the continuation of the Dune movies.
“I think they brought back moviegoing. What an event the second one was. It was just so lovely to be a part of something that we know is our generational kind of “Star Wars,’” she said.

The first movie came out in 2021 and needed $411 million, and the second part crossed more than 700 million and became the seventh highest-grossing film of 2024. Much like the other Dune movies, the third part of the Dune franchise is also expected to rake in massive numbers at the box office. So, as Pugh said in the interview, the movie has been a part of the massive shift noticed in Hollywood.
As for Pugh, she is not only part of the Dune Franchise; the actress is also featured in yet another big franchise as Yelena in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And the actress also has one of the rare privileges.
Florence Pugh made crucial creative changes for her role Yelena
Florence Pugh plays the role of Yelena Belova in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actress shared that she had the freedom to create lines and make crucial additions and changes for her character, Yelena, thanks to Kevin Feige. One such change is Yelena’s accent, which changed from English to Russian, as suggested by Pugh.
“I had more freedom in creating lines, moments,” Pugh said.

Pugh suggested the changes to director Cate Shortland, and later, a video that was sent to Feige was approved. And these changes made Pugh's character so much more special. That shows how much faith Feige had in Pugh and her dedication to the character, and it is certainly evident on screen.
