With the Multiverse Saga behind us, Marvel Studios has been setting the stage for the future of the MCU with fresh stories and creative voices. Meanwhile, Zack Snyder remains one of Hollywood's most recognizable blockbuster filmmakers, best known for directing Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder's Justice League. As Marvel continues to shape its next era, a new report has sparked speculation that Snyder could one day become part of the studio's future plans.

According to industry insider My Time To Shine Hello, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has reportedly shown some interest in Snyder. They took to X to post the same, which did not specify what role Snyder may or may not have. The report also led to a lot of speculation about Snyder possibly working with Marvel Studios in the future, considering he has been with DC for so long.

“I hear Kevin Feige is interested in Zack Snyder,” wrote the user, without providing any additional details or evidence to support the claim.

However, the report is unconfirmed. Additionally, neither Kevin Feige, nor Zack Snyder have commented publicly on the matter. Furthermore, even Marvel Studios has not said anything publicly as of yet.

The rumor goes long back when, on April 1, 2021, Love Thy Nerd jokingly announced that Feige, who recently confirmed the fate of Spider-Man in MCU, was so blown away by Snyder’s Justice League that Marvel was going to give Snyder the reins to the next 10 years of the MCU. It satirized Snyder's filmmaking style and the way fans talk about his movies. However, it ultimately revealed that it was an April Fools' Day joke, and not real news.

Nevertheless, the report quickly sparked debate across social media, with fans already imagining Snyder's place in the MCU.

Marvel fans divided over Zack Snyder rumor as dream MCU projects emerge

Fans were quick to flood the comments on the X post with their thoughts, many suggesting Zack Snyder would be a perfect fit to helm a film for Marvel Studios. Some supported him specifically for a Sentry solo movie. Meanwhile, others thought his visual style would be more suited to characters such as Thor or Ghost Rider.

“I would sign Zack Snyder for a Sentry movie and let him cook,” commented one user.

“I think Zack Snyder can direct the MCU Ghost Rider movie with Ryan Gosling. Shawn Levy should do Deadpool 4,” wrote one user.

“He would be perfect for Thor, but I can’t imagine what else he could do for Marvel,” added one.

Others also debated what Snyder’s role at Marvel should be. Many lauded his visual storytelling, and felt he would make a good director, but a few felt he should steer clear of screenwriting. Additionally, some felt Snyder would be a great fit for Marvel’s darker characters.

“Sounds incredible on paper. Executed, that’s just another creative clash waiting to happen. Both men are visionaries, and this is Fiege’s tonic. Unless Fiege steps aside and lets Snyder handle Marvel’s dark mythos,” one user advised.

“Please don't let him write the script. Let him handle the direction alone,” one wrote, criticizing.

“Don't let him write, but as a Director on Board for a Marvel movie would be so Peak,” another wrote, echoing.

The rumor is unsubstantiated but has already ignited a flurry of chatter about Zack Snyder possibly joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans remain split over whether the filmmaker would be a good fit, with many backing him as a director for darker Marvel characters, while others have voiced concerns about his creative approach. However, until Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, or Snyder himself makes a public statement, that report is still speculation.
