The city's streets flaunt centuries' worth of love from couples sharing their most intimate affection through letters, laughter, or languid loiter. A new romantic comedy set in the city brings together Kate Hudson and Javier Bardem, the two esteemed Oscar favorites, to set a new spark to this kiln where soulmates find each other.

Kate Hudson and Javier Bardem's upcoming film brews an eternal story of love in a tangent to evergreen classics, but with a twist. Titled Hello & Paris, the movie combines a delectable dose of culinary indulgence with intelligent humor, heartfelt moments, and unexpected moments of human bonding. 

According to Variety, Hello & Paris centers on the exchange of shared interests between a landscape architect and a bestselling novelist. While their first encounter jabs like a nail, soon they realize their innate desire to be with each other. 

  Elizabeth Chomko, who directed What They Had, will helm Hello & Paris, which adapts Deborah McKinlay's novel That Part Was True into a transatlantic love story that pays homage to classic films such as Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry Met Sally. Hudson and Bardem's on-screen chemistry offers a traditional yet modern rom-com experience.   

"More so now than ever, I believe we are in need of stories that bring us all together, and Hello & Paris does just that. Visionary filmmaker Elizabeth Chomko has crafted a gorgeous love story, one that both fills the heart and delights the senses," teased Patrick Wachsberger of the film's production and global sales team, per the outlet. 

The movie sets a spark across oceans as the couple travels through their relationship with grace and laughter to highlight nuances of everyday love stories, the awkwardness of warm, fuzzy romantic feelings, as well as their endeavours to deal with complicated circumstances. It is touted to be one of those decadent love stories that combines elements of food fantasy with romance and comedy.

Hello & Paris, which stars Kate Hudson and Javier Bardem, will be introduced to the European Film Market buyers at the Berlin market for actual distribution rights, which will enable its future public exhibition. Additional information about the project will become available after the upcoming spring festival and market screenings, although the official theatrical release date remains unconfirmed as of early February 2026.

The typical distribution pattern for movies of this type predicts that Hello & Paris will begin with its initial theatrical release, anticipated to be in late 2026 or early 2027, after distribution agreements reach completion. The rom-com will proceed to streaming after its theatrical run because studios usually establish agreements with major platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and Max for their post-theatrical streaming rights, although the streamer remains unconfirmed.
