Julianne Moore is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Rome Film Fest, where filmmaker Jesse Eisenberg will present the honor. The recognition puts Moore’s filmography, which has moved between independent cinema and major studio productions, often finding complexity in characters who resist easy categorization. Her performances have earned recognition across the industry, her unconventional roles establishing her as a distinctive presence in contemporary film.

The Rome Film Fest’s latest tribute brings Moore’s celebrated body of work into focus while spotlighting a new creative partnership.

Eisenberg directed Moore in The Debut, marking another collaboration after When You Finish Saving the World. The upcoming film also stars Paul Giamatti and Halle Bailey, placing Moore within an ensemble led by a filmmaker who has increasingly expanded his work behind the camera.

Her work in The Kids Are All Right, Magnolia, and May December further illustrates a career unconfined by genre or scale.

The Rome Film Fest’s honor recognizes not simply Moore’s awards record, but the body of performances behind it. As The Debut brings her back to the festival screen, the Lifetime Achievement Award offers a timely tribute to an actor whose career continues to evolve.
