Bathed in the soft glow of new parenthood, Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are foraying into unexpected roles as partners, parents, engineers of bedtime routines, and creators of lullabies for their little one. Their love story mellowed into a home for three, with hearts swelling with gratitude, but for which they craved privacy. The couple who have beheld darkness and magic now have a joy that radiates beyond glamour—an adopted child and a family built, partly in the public eye and shadowed by tender, private moments. Jon Bon Jovi recently opened his heart about becoming a first-time grandfather to the adopted baby girl of his daughter-in-law, Millie Bobby Brown, and son Jake Bongiovi. In a TikTok segment from Bunnie XO's podcast, Dumb Blonde, the rock legend described this experience as "wonderful." He said that from the moment he met the baby, there was an instant connection and familial bond with no room for hesitation. And sure enough, he confessed to already being "that pain in the b--- guy" as a grandparent asking for pictures of the baby every single day and demanding updates all the time.

Describing the new addition to his family as "beautiful," Bon Jovi also gushed about Brown and Bongiovi's maturity in their relationship on the podcast. The adoption announcement came just as the couple celebrated their first anniversary, after marrying in a quiet ceremony in May 2024. Bon Jovi also emphasized unity and support: how he and his wife had stood by them from the beginning, especially given how young Brown and Bongiovi were when they got married and started a family.

Meanwhile, Jon Bon Jovi could not be happier with pure pride. He even publicly commended Brown's commitment, strong work ethic, and her roots, as she comes from a family of four, much like Bongiovi. He and his wife, Dorothea Bongiovi, gave their seal of approval to the young couple for Brown's faith in family and love for her partner. During an appearance on the Smartless podcast, Brown also emphasized her desire to become a mom, being open to both biological children and adoption, saying, "I really want a big family." Now that motherhood is a reality for Brown, Jon Bon Jovi may joke that he is a “pain in the butt,” but he is the kind of grandfather everyone secretly hopes to have.
