Jimmy Fallon and Shawn Hatosy reunited on The Tonight Show and revisited their shared memories from the 2006 biographical drama Factory Girl, a full 20 years later. What started as a routine late-night appearance quickly took a delightful detour down memory lane. What followed was a nostalgic, laugh-filled conversation that most fans probably never saw coming.

Twenty years is a long time, but some memories, especially the ones involving bad hair and karaoke, never really fade.

Jimmy Fallon and Shawn Hatosy were both part of the 2006 biographical drama Factory Girl, which followed Andy Warhol's muse, Edie Sedgwick. Fallon played Chuck Wein, Warhol's Factory regular, while Hatosy portrayed Syd Pepperman, Sedgwick's protective friend from her Cambridge art school days. The reunion on The Tonight Show marked a full 20 years since the two shared a set.

"Yes. We were in a movie called... 'Factory Girl,'" Hatosy and Fallon confirmed in harmony.

He then added, "And what was going on in the hair department? It was bad," referencing Fallon's peroxide-orange hair disaster and his own inexplicably straightened locks, both apparently courtesy of an overzealous costume department.

The Factory Girl friendship was not built on set; it was built after hours in Shreveport, Louisiana, where the cast filmed and found very little else to do. Hatosy credited Fallon as the ringleader of post-wrap karaoke nights on The Tonight Show, recalling how Fallon would deliver full Bruce Springsteen and U2 performances regardless of whether the crew had wrapped at 4 a.m. The Neil Diamond detour sealed the legend, with Fallon reportedly purchasing a Greatest Hits CD mid-ride and obsessively rehearsing 'Heartlight' all the way to set.

As fun as the Factory Girl flashback was, Hatosy did not stop by The Tonight Show purely for nostalgia. The Pitt Season 3 had some news to deliver.

What Shawn Hatosy teased about The Pitt Season 3

Shawn Hatosy appeared on The Tonight Show primarily to discuss The Pitt Season 3, and he did not come empty-handed in the tease department. He confirmed that the new season will open differently from its predecessors, both of which began with Dr. Robby arriving for his shift.

"People will be surprised how we begin," Hatosy said, stopping short of elaborating further.

He also confirmed returning behind the camera as a director, having helmed the ninth episode of Season 3.

The shift in the opening formula is notable given how deliberately the first two seasons used Robby's arrival as a tonal setup for each season's central conflict. Season 2 leaned into Robby's deteriorating state, culminating in two significant confessions across the finale. A departure from that structure suggests Season 3 may redistribute focus or introduce an entirely new entry point into Pittsburgh Trauma Medical's world. From karaoke nights in Shreveport to night shifts in Pittsburgh, Fallon gave Hatosy the perfect stage to remind audiences that The Pitt is only getting bigger.
