The b****-soaked ending of The Boys already left fandom believing the franchise had burned through its final chapter after the brutal downfall of Billy Butcher and Homelander. But now, fresh rumors surrounding the upcoming spin-off The Boys: Mexico may have cracked open an entirely new wave of chaos, with reports claiming Soldier Boy could return to the franchise once again. The character has long remained The Boys universe’s dark parody of Captain America, a patriotic super-soldier whose heroism always masked brutality, ego, and destruction ever since his explosive Season 3 debut.

And if the rumors surrounding Soldier Boy’s return to The Boys universe actually turn out to be true, what kind of fresh chaos could the franchise unleash next after Homelander’s fall?

While many fans expected Soldier Boy to become the man behind Homelander’s final downfall, fresh insider leaks now suggest his story may be far from over inside The Boys universe. According to insider Daniel RPK, the upcoming spin-off The Boys: México will reportedly unfold only months after Homelander’s death while bringing back Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy once again. Reports additionally claim the series could follow Supes illegally crossing borders into Mexico while an anti-Supe squad attempts to stop them, potentially throwing the franchise into an even darker kind of chaos.

Inside Season 5, however, Soldier Boy’s ending played out far differently than the fandom expected. After initially helping Homelander through the V1 immortality formula tied to Stormfront, Soldier Boy eventually became fed up with Homelander’s dictatorship obsession, fragile ego, and Vought madness. In Episode 7, he finally snapped, insulted Homelander directly, and announced he was walking away from the w** entirely for a luxurious life in Bogota. The betrayal instantly backfired after Homelander violently choked him unconscious and sealed him back inside cryogenic stasis, leaving Soldier Boy absent from the franchise’s brutal finale bloodbath.

Long before Homelander ever terrorised the world, Soldier Boy had already been surviving through entire generations without aging a single day.

Soldier Boy has been frozen in time since the 1940s

While Soldier Boy still looks almost unchanged physically inside The Boys, the Supe is actually more than 106 years old during Season 5’s timeline. Born back in 1919, Soldier Boy has technically survived through w***, political eras, and entire generations long before Homelander ever existed. However, after receiving early Compound V experiments during the World W** II era, his aging process nearly stopped completely, leaving him physically stuck in the same rugged appearance for decades.

That strange condition makes Soldier Boy one of the rarest Supes in the franchise. Unlike Homelander, whose powers only slowed aging naturally, Soldier Boy’s body barely changed at all across an entire century. His near-immortality also closely mirrors Stormfront's, whose lifespan similarly came from the franchise’s earliest and most dangerous Compound V experiments.

And thus, it now feels increasingly possible that Soldier Boy’s teased return may carry a far bigger purpose this time as The Boys: México prepares to unleash another violent chapter inside the b****-soaked Supe universe.
