Celebrities and performers admiring one another is not a something surprising or once in a blue moon event. It keeps on happening every now and then, and it mostly stems from respect for one’s work ethic, fascination with one’s talent, or a number of other things. But getting mesmerized by one’s viral moment is another thing. Recently, Jensen Ackles revealed that one such moment from Johnny Depp’s high-profile trial got him hooked.

The actor shared during an event that he lost sleep over Depp’s infamous “Mega Pint” moment, admitting that it was beyond impressive.

Taking center stage at the Royal Highland Centre near Edinburgh for Comic Con Scotland, fan-favorite genre icons Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins teamed up to anchor the convention's closing panel. Joined by a stacked reunion lineup featuring Mark Sheppard, Jim Beaver, Rob Benedict, Ruth Connell, Mark Pellegrino, and DJ Qualls, Ackles used the spotlight to share a strange late-night epiphany: a dream sparked entirely by Johnny Depp's infamous courtroom history.

Recalling the viral internet phenomenon spawned during Depp's 2022 legal battle - specifically the iconic 'mega pint' exchange with attorney Ben Rottenborn over a morning wine pour - The Boys star confessed that the moment actually left him in awe. Rather than writing it off as simple meme fodder, the actor praised Depp's uncanny ability to convey profound subtext with minimal dialogue.

While the meme itself took on a massive digital life of its own, spawning everything from viral merchandise to a retroactive plot twist uncovered in a Netflix docuseries pointing out Depp had used the phrase first, the trial's underlying gravity remains a complex subject of public fascination. Meanwhile, Ackles' Comic-Con revelation gives the moment another dimension - one where Johnny Depp’s communication abilities are dissected and praised.

Unsurprisingly, the internet reacted instantly to the panel revelation.

Snippets circulated across social platforms as viewers traded jokes about the inner workings of Jensen Ackles' imagination, marveling at how a random dream about Johnny Depp's courtroom antics could take center stage. Watching the Supernatural fame and long-time partner-in-crime Misha Collins riff off each other served as a prime reminder of why the Supernatural community remains fiercely loyal. Even years after the legendary 15-season run wrapped up in 2020, the cast’s refusal to slow down on the convention circuit keeps that close-knit fan connection alive and well.

Beyond the convention stage, Ackles' calendar is packed with major on-screen commitments. He is currently hard at work shooting Vought Rising, Amazon Prime's 1950s-era prequel to The Boys, stepping back into the shoes of a younger Soldier Boy. That rigorous production schedule also includes an MGM+ series titled Rules of Prey, set for 2027.
