The twins asked their mother to follow their exact orders after she attended the Golden Globe Awards. Lopez's kids wanted her to find the stars of Heated Rivalry, Connor Storrie, who plays Ilya Rozanov, and Hudson Williams, who plays Shane Hollander, and stalk them.

"They asked me to stalk them at the Golden Globes, and I could not find them. So I recorded them when they came out on stage. I don't know who they are," Lopez told Entertainment Tonight. When the interviewer pointed out that she and Williams follow each other on Instagram and if she would be open to collaborating, Lopez agreed to be open to the idea.

The premiere date for Season 2 of the popular Canadian queer hockey show Heated Rivalry remains unconfirmed but is expected to arrive in April 2027. Production will start in August 2026 after Season 1 achieved great success with its late 2025 release. The new season will continue the intense love story between rival hockey stars Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, played by Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie.

Inspired by Rachel Reid’s Game Changers novels, the plot is expected to explore their secret relationship, the pressures of professional hockey, and the emotional challenges of going public in six episodes, akin to season one.
