When it comes to acting, Jennifer Aniston has dedication and passion like none. Her beginnings might have been humble, but from the very start, she knew her go-to place of honor would be within sitcoms. During the ’90s, Friends was not the only show of hers garnering a foothold. Before that, she starred in Ferris Bueller, for which she prepared to skin the character in the strangest of ways, making use of the classic siblings feud in her own family to vouch for flawless acting.

Even though actors frequently go to great lengths to get into their characters, Aniston’s choice for this particular trait has a good justification.

In 1990, Ferris Bueller was out to tell the story of a high school slacker. Jennifer Aniston played Bueller’s sister, Jeannie Bueller, and a major part of it made her victim to his pranks. Being a sister to the rebellious adolescent was a tedious journey for Aniston, but she cracked the best hack, as was also revealed in a 1990 interview with Waterloo Region Record (via Catchy Comedy). Apparently, she made use of the ‘sibling conflicts’ with her brother to relate to her character.

Aniston confessed how the only thing that stopped her from punching back her brother was because she “was too little to do it.”. But years later, when the moment arrived to skin a character that she could relate to her childhood, she knew the best resort was to travel back to those days. With her youth’s feelings paralleled to Jeannie Bueller’s role, her attempt to revert to her youngster self was massively fruitful to ensure a non-manufactured display of acting.

Jennifer Aniston may have played a forgettable lead for Ferris Bueller as it could not touchdown to massive success like its paternal movie, but she surely found home while working in it. Although the on-screen sibling conflicts felt annoying, Aniston’s connection to Charlie Schlatter beyond the curtains was quite the opposite.

In the same interview, Aniston admitted how they both “loved doing the show.”. Speaking about her relationship with Bueller’s actor, Schlatter, she even expressed how quickly they “were getting along” from the time they “made pilot”. Furthermore, she even shared similar opinions on the “conviction that the show would become a hit.” Apart from that, the actors also were equal in setting the “positive energy” which was later transparent visibly on the show.
